Do not upgrade

Pro features do not work in this version, even though I paid for them, and they were working find in previous version.

Broken buy link & amateur coding

This app is broken/buggish. They didn’t fix the app on the latest release, they blocked everything and now you have to purchase the “Pro” version but good luck with that because the link to purchase it doesn’t even work. What an amateur coding work from whoever developed this.

Superfast problemsolving I am seeing here. Thank you!

These Developers are listening to customers. I just wrote a feedback about a bug found in the update yesterday and now it’s solved already. Thanks a lot.

Timely bugfixes

It’s good to see that the developer cared enough about this app to push out a fix to the Pro users within a week of releasing the last update. Hopefully this means that we’ll see more updates more frequently moving forward.

Good Mac player

Only problem I have is the menu bar icon blends in with the bar when the dark bar option is enabled on Mac

Crashes

I cant even log in because it keeps crashing

Cant log into app

Everytime I attempt to log in, the app crashes.

Autoplays the worst playlists after selecting one you want

I don’t even know why this has gone unchecked for so long, but the worst thing about this app is the fact that, no matter where you’re selecting a playlist from, it will end and autoplay another playlist - which is a good thing - except it chooses literally the worst playlists to autoplay, instead of continuing in logical fashion from your original selection. I can NOT with that pop music garbage. Please make this app more logical!

Nice App But...

I sincerely enjoy 8tracks for discovering new music and finding amazing playlists to help me study and I had hoped the mac desktop version would be more amazing. Sadly so far I find it harder to use. I can log in okay but trying to search for any tags (ie instrumental, study, etc) brings up a great lag and the tags and/or playlists never show up. I also wish there was a way to test out the features of the app more before spending $5 on it..I love 8tracks but right now I currently don’t use it that much to justify over $5 on an app, particularly if I’m not sure if I want the desktop version. Long story short, it’s an okay app that could be even better. For now I may be sticking to th web or mobile version on my phone/ipad.

NEEDS AN UPDATE!

This was a five stars app! but now I have to use the actual website while working on my papers :( the app keeps freezing and won’t load quickly! I would have thought it’s my connection but nope it works great on the browser.. please update

only cause im loyal

i really want to like it more and only stick with it because i love the phone app and it has improved a little since i bought this app. -i hate when the a new mix comes on. you will be listening to classical and then some random crappy mix starts after. crappy because thats not what i want to listen at that time -i wish there was a selection to minimize the window to a smaller player with just a title, play, pause , artitst ...and so forth -i get that the app is suppose to be simpler( at least i assume so)…but this should be stated in the details especiallty since you are payin $ overall the phone and website work better

i am disappointed

WHY DID YOU MAKE IT SO THAT YOU CAN ONLY HAVE 2 SONGS BY AN ARTIST ON A PLAYLIST?????? I HAVE A PLAYLIST DEDICATED TO EMINEM WHICH IS MY MOST SUCCESSFUL MIX AND IT GOT TAKEN DOWN BECAUSE ALL OF THE SONGS ARE BY EMINEM. HOW DO YOU EXPECT PEOPLE TO GET COMPLETE JOY OUT OF YOUR APP WHEN WE CAN’T EVEN POST THE SONGS WE WANT? I AM VERY ANGRY AND UNHAPPY WITH IT. YOUR JOB IS TO MAKE CONSUMERS OF YOUR PRODUCT HAPPY AND SASTISFIED AND I KNOW MANY MANY MORE PEOPLE WOULD LIKE TO POST MORE THAN 2 SONGS BY AN ARTIST AS WELL. >:(

This is not a free app, it’s just camouflaged as one

The free version is completely useless. This is not exaggeration, the only thing available to you is Explore. That. Is. It. I have no problem with free apps, I have no problem with paid apps, but paid apps pretending to be free are just annoying. $5 is nothing, of course - a couple cups of coffee, but Nordlogic’s approach is just douchey. Not a single screenshot of the app you’re getting, they are _all_ from the paid version. It might be a good app, but I really don’t care. If you treat your customers like this, you’re not getting my 5 bucks. Nordlogic, take a hike. Starbucks, here I come.

SCAM ALERT!

This app does not allow you do anything unless you pay. It is not free. I use 8 Tracks through my browser all the time and this app says this is an easier way to use the same service. SCAM ALERT! SCAM ALERT! Be Aware. Don’t download, unless you enjoy getting 0 tracks. The other 8 are hidden behind your credit card information.

Not like the phone app

I have the phone app and I love it use it everyday for school! So I looked up 8tracks radio and this popped up and I assumed that it was just like the phone app, but I was wrong! I rated a 3 because it still brings you to the right app, but yes you do have to pay to have the same features you do on your phone app. Dumb yes I know! but I love this app so much I bought it so I don’t always have to use on my phone if I am working on my computer. But if you have a mac anyways you should be use to paying for apps, for some reason apps on the mac cost all the time because ipad and iphone can share an app macs can’t so you wind up paying for two of the app. I usually never purchase apps anymore on macs cause they are not as good as iPhone/ipad apps and or they are like triple the price. So too me $5 was a bargin compared to $10 and up for mac apps.

logins logins

when I made my 8tracks account, I used facebook login. seems like 8tracks has a bunch of options for login using 3rd party authentication. So when I opened the app and was asked for a username and password, confusion all over my face. I hadn’t even set up a password, and had no idea what usename 8tracks set for me either. You want to make it easy for people to do the 1st step - start using the app. I’m sure you’re getting a decent dropoff rate because of this; might want to address that in the next versions.

Needs a 8tracks App Pro Account for normal 8tracks features.

Bait and switch tactics will be punished by 1 star and a immediate uninstall. I’ll go back to the web app thanks.

$5

This app says free but it no functionality without paying $5 unless all you want is the explore feature.

Crashes with El Capitan, 1 Suggestion, Otherwise Phenomenal

The music selection and community behind 8tracks is phenominal. I love everything else about it! Beats Pandora for variety, hands down. Nordlogic has been working on updates to help with the crashing with El Capitan. Prior to El Capitan update, the app was solid. I’m sure they will get it worked out soon. One suggestion: I have a lot of liked playlists. It would be cool if I could sort them into my own categories (the same way you would add a song to a specific playlist in iTunes).

Freezes after updating to El Capitan

Music in a playlist will keep on playing just fine when I first open the app and find a playlist. However the 8tracks window will freeze. I have to force quit and open the app again before playing a new playlist.
